The Empty Handed Painters

The weekend before Christmas, I got to see my friend's band play at a show at the Cups in Fondren.  They did SO great and it was really fun!!  I kept forgetting to make a blog post about it, but here are the photos I got that night.

Maddie

I'm taking a photo imaging class at Ole Miss, and I'm really enjoying it!  It's forcing me actually make time to take pictures, which I had problems doing last semester. For the first project, we had to take song lyrics or poetry and create a photomontage based on that idea. I chose Maddie to model for me. We went to Taylor, MS (a few minutes from Oxford) and explored for a bit and got some GREAT photos. I'd been wanting to shoot there for a while, and I'm so happy with how these turned out!

This part was so much fun! It was FREEZING cold outside (probably in the 20s) and the sun had started to go down, but I'm so happy we stayed a little longer to get these! Even if Maddie did nearly freeze to death in her shorts!

Thanksgiving Break

This week was Thanksgiving break, so I got to come home from school for a whole week! It's been such a relaxing week. For my last full day in town, I got together with Sara, Vanessa, and Bailey, and we went to Cups and Chick-Fil-A! We caught up on how school has been for everyone, and how happy everyone's been to have a week off. Then we went to a really pretty location that Sara found to do pictures of her sister Nicki. I'd really missed shooting! It felt GREAT being out there today!
